Sport wellness is the much needed combination of modern day sport nutrition & holistic wellness.

The ultimate goal for any team or athlete is to perform to their best capability.

What most coaches and athletes do not know is that achieving this ideal level of performance is obtained by working just as hard off of the field as you do on the field. When working with teams, I provide the not so obvious, not so glamorous ways athletes can tap into their highest potential and most importantly, get the most from their athletic career.

With my education in sports nutrition and integrative and holistic wellness, I am able to provide so much more than just the foundational information surrounding their diet needs. Sports wellness allows for a broader discussion that shines a light on more important topics.

My sport wellness program was created and driven by personal experience, connecting with athletes who desperately seek new ways to increase their game and a clear lack of education on these topics in sport today.

SPORTS WELLNESS PROGRAM

Once 6 sessions are completed, I am available for 60 min sessions on an as needed basis catered to your team’s interests and desires.

INITIAL SESSION: 90 MIN

  • 60 minute Sport Wellness introduction covering the 5 pillars of sport wellness
  • 30 minute open forum for questions

SESSION 2: 60 min

  • This session is a deep dive into sport nutrition.
  • Topics include: proper fueling for performance and recovery, reading ingredient labels, common myths in the sport nutrition world, how to navigate supplements, vitamins and minerals aka the unsung heros, how to cook and prep on a college budget and eating with allergies or chronic illness.

SESSION 3: 60 MIN

  • The focus here is relationships.
  • Topics include: importance of support systems, connecting with yourself, building trust with coaches and teammates, communication – the foundation for success, team building strategies & activities and how to find the value in every relationship – family, academic, social, work, sport, romantic, etc.

SESSION 4: 60 MIN

  • It’s all about purpose & passion.
  • The key to getting athletes to show up every day lies within each member of the team embracing their role and honoring the present moment.
  • Topics include: importance of mindset and perspective, how to practice mindfulness and meditation, the power of thought, transitioning through the seasons, spirituality and religion, connecting to one’s inner strength and how sport fits into their life’s purpose.

SESSION 5: 60 MIN

  • Mental and emotional health, playing in the age of anxiety.
  • Topics include: how to check in with oneself, how to battle stress and recover from anxiety and depression, the world of comparisons, the realness behind eating disorders, and why validation is the key to emotional health.

SESSION 6: 60 MIN

  • This final session ties together the previous sessions – focusing on balance and recovery.
  • Topics include: how to manage the battle of student athlete vs. athletic student, precious balance of sport, school, career, social and romantic responsibilities, how to adopt and integrate daily habits and routines for maximal productivity, the key to recovery – sleep, self-care practices and how to utilize treatment.
